Call for Artists
AOI has secured an exhibition at One Art Space, NY, NY. The gallery is located in the bustling Lower Manhattan area known as Tribeca.

To apply: You must be a current member in good standing! Membership runs from January to January & must be paid in full.

Acceptance: Artist will be notified by March 15, 2017
*gallery assumes final say in selection of works included
Entry: Enter up to 3 works and label entries like this: artists last name followed by first initial followed by entry number which corresponds to the submission form. Example: garridof_1.jpg
Send jpgs & Submission Form: jpgs 300 dpi & no larger than 4” x 6”, to: 2017alchemy@gmail.com
Size: Works no larger than 36”L x 30”W including frame
Frame: Works must be framed/wooden mounts & ready to hang with
appropriate hardware in place.
Hanging Fee: $25. Per accepted piece
Labeling on back of artwork : Title/medium/price/size/artists
name/address/contact info
Delivery of works: All works should arrive at the gallery between April 18 & April 22, 2017. Hand delivered works: *(which means you will also be picking up your work in person) OR shipped. If you are shipping your work you MUST prepay for return of your work. DO NOT send your work w/out a prepaid return label or it will be left at the gallery for you to deal with.

No exceptions!
Insurance: Gallery provides insurance from the time the work arrives at the gallery to the time it leaves the gallery. Artist is responsible for any other insurance.
Commission: 30% on sales
Care of works: All works will be handled with the utmost care.
Please read carefully:
1. The exhibition organizers will handle all works with the utmost care. Curators, installers and all members of AOI & staff will not be liable for any damage occurring in the ordinary course of handling.
2. In the event of work being lost, destroyed or damaged, other than as stated in (1) above, the exhibition organizers liability (if any) shall not in any event exceed the value of the work as stated on the entry form (less 40%) or any altered price subsequently notified to the organizers.
3. The exhibition organizers shall not be bound by the price stated on the entry form and in the event of any dispute arising as an independent expert valuer to be chosen by agreement between the parties, provided always that the arbitrator’s award shall not exceed the exhibition organizers maximum liability in accordance with sub-paragraph (2) hereof. The arbitrator’s award shall be final and shall be conclusive evidence of the amount of the loss. The artist shall not be entitled to begin or maintain any action at law in respect of loss until the arbitrator shall have made a determination in accordance with the terms of this sub-paragraph and then only for the amount so awarded. The submission of entry form is to be taken as the unreserved acceptance of the entire contents of these conditions and those on the form.
