I was born in Perth Australia, one of the most isolated cities in the world. My family moved across the desert settling in Melbourne where I studied art.

On completing my BA of Fine Art I started to exhibit. Gradually I took an interest in the animated image and FX. This led to me to move to London to continue my work in Digital Special FX. Primarily as a Technical Director, I worked on movies such as Harry Potter and Batman Begins.

Now I spend as much time as I can Painting and Drawing. My influences are broad from Hans Memling, Durer, Frida Kahlo to Walton Ford and James Gleeson.

My current body of work focuses on how we connect/disconnect to our environments both natural or man made. I make my own wood panels and use traditional gesso for priming (following centuries old recipes). This is by far my favourite painting surface.
