"The rings resembling agates may also be interpreted as
circles produced by waves in a stiff body of water: a wonderfully
beautiful, clear 'drop' producing ever growing circles, spreading
out until the impulse is spent and broken on the shores of a
different world. The two columbine flowers stand for beauty,
tenderness, but also vulnerablility, and accompany the growing
child, two trustworthy protectors, in spite of their own frailty."
